有人問我看法屬於哪一派。基本上三個都是也三個都不是。難得討論到這個二十年前的議題,索性分享一下:
AI (Neural Network) has been developing for decades and the latest peak was 20 years ago; most of concepts and algorithms don’t change much, but powerful computing power and AlphaGo bring it to the public.
Major strengths remain image/video and voice/audio recognition in coming years; so yes, it’s possible to change a lot in some fields like transportation, but will also make other opportunities for example smart home (Amazon Echo) that didn’t happen in the past.
But for high level human activities I don’t think so… yet. 😛
So against the camp 1: it’s really growing rapidly but not so new;
camp 2: yes it’s an important field but not the most i think; also depending on application fields.
camp 3: some will be replaced; but some will be created.
